Location:

Kelsall Hill Ride Ltd,
Organsdale Farm,
Middlewich Road,
Kelsall,
Tarporley,
Cheshire,
CW6 0SR.

Facilities:

The yard is situated not far from Delamere Forest in Cheshire. There is plenty to talk about when the subject is Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre regarding the equine facilities. There may be more than what I am about to mention but this is what we know of so far!

Farm Ride

The farm ride is full of different jumps, but with the choice to ride past every jump which is great is you are not interested in jumping! The ride is 7 miles long and is open every day, its is definitely worth £15 per horse and I would recommend.

Arenas

The Arena is available to hire from £20 for the hour for 1 horse, this includes the working hunter arena, showjumping and flatwork.

Cross Country

Designed by David Evans, the cross country is contained within one field next to the gallops. This is great as you can close off the area with the gate available, there are also many choices of different jumps. The different jumps include combinations, ditches, water jumps including small, medium and large jumps for beginners to advanced riders.

Gallops

The Gallops is something I have not found at many yards I have visited. This is a long built pathway especially for galloping on and is highly maintained. It is the length of 4.5 furlongs and is a wax coated Martin Collins all weather surface. This is perfect for building fitness for endurance, racehorses or point to point training.

Car Parking:

When considering the car parking, I would say no matter is you are using a trailer, a 3.5 tonne or a 7.5 tonne wagon you will not have a problem. There is a large car park which is used at first instance which is hard-standing and then there is also an overflow car park on grass which can be accessed through the hard-standing car park. If you are a nervous driver, there is also plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and unload your horses.

Food and Drink
When considering grub – In the reception office for visiting on a normal day other than a show day there are hot drinks available such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as a selection of soft drinks for when you are gasping after your ride! There is also chocolate, crisps and even polo’s to treat your horse for bringing you home safely.

Toilets
The toilets are situated when you enter the farm to the right, a 3 minute walk away from the car park. They are clean and provide hand wash.

Rinse Down
There is a rinsing down area for after your ride, equipped with hose pipes to remove all the sweat off your horse… and maybe you!

Kelsall Hill also hosts British Eventing events, were it is encouraged to get involved volunteering to judge. I have been involved in this, tea/ coffee was provided and plenty of food!

Last of all they also clean rugs!
